Knicks' Anthony sprains left ankle vs. Lakers

Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony sprained his left ankle in the third quarter and was not expected to return to the game against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Knicks already had a huge lead Thursday night when Anthony landed awkwardly after being fouled by Dwight Howard on a drive to the basket. He was attended to on the court and was able to stay in after a timeout to shoot the free throws, but was clearly in pain and was taken out soon after. Coach Mike Woodson said after the game that Anthony is day to day.

3 Wishes

If I had 3 wishes, my first wish would be to be rich forever. Being rich forever is something that everyone wants and dreams of. Money cant buy happiness but it makes life alot less stressful.

 

 

 

My second wish would be to provide and take care of my family. I want them to be able to live worry free. To know that they are well taken care of is all the happiness I need. 

 

 

My last, final, and most important wish would be to have more wishes! The more wishes the better. My third wish would be to have unlimited wishes. 

Patriots Record Second-Highest Monday Night Football Rating in Franchise History

The New England Patriots squared off against the AFC leading Houston Texans on Monday, Dec. 10 in the team’s lone Monday Night Football matchup of the 2012 season. The early overnight ratings indicate that the game drew a household rating of approximately 39 in the Boston market and marked the Patriots third-highest rated game of the season. Monday night’s game was televised on ESPN and WCVB in the Boston market and the two networks combined for the household rating of 39 and a share of 59. The share of 59 means that on average 59 percent of all televisions in use in the Boston market during the game were tuned in to the Patriots. Monday’s win improved the Patriots record to 10-3. This week, the Patriots are featured in another primetime matchup and will take on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football on Dec. 16.

Holiday Season

What really gets me into the holiday spirit is just the joy of being able to see the holidays. Everyone should always be most cheerful and joyful around the holidays. All of the family gatherings and dinners, and being able to share our love with one another is all someone could ask for during the holidays. Im truley thankful and grateful for the family and things i have and wouldn't trade it for the world. Thats what gets me into the holiday spirit!

The tragedy of NFL Linebacker Javon Belcher and his baby's mother

Inside the Kansas City home that Jovan Belcher fled, his baby daughter wailed, his mother was in hysterics and his girlfriend was quiet. Barely breathing. Few answers came from 911 tapes released this week by police. But the tapes provide a heartbreaking soundtrack of the fleeting moments the morning that police say Belcher killed his girlfriend Kasandra Perkins and then later turned the gun on himself just outside the front door of the Chiefs' practice facility. This is a very disturbing story and my condolences go out to their families during this tragic time.

Social Media

Social media is a good thing or a bad thing? That is the most frequently asked question today. Well, there are always two sides of everything; it depends on your perspective on how you perceive it. The same goes for social media, most people admire it as a revolutionary invention and some seem to take it as a negative impact on the society. Social networks have become a crucial part of many of us. We don’t even notice this but as soon as we open our desktops or laptops to access the web, we sub-consciously open our favorite social network just to see about the updates received. Businesses have noticed the value of social networks in our life, and they are using different techniques to promote their products. There are a number of customized applications being made on the social platforms, whose main purpose is to promote the product or brand. As social marketing is cost effective and brands have a huge audience, they are shifting more towards social marketing. Many studies have shown that the extensive use of social media can actually cause addiction to the users. Throughout their day, they feel to post something on their pages or check others posts as it has become an important part of our life. We have mentioned a few positive and negative points of social media, but it doesn’t explain that social media is good or a bad thing. It stands somewhere in between. You will remain wary in spite of these examples that either social media is a good or bad thing for society? Some people who have had the ir lives effected by social media are Chris Brown and Rihanna. The explosive fight that landed sultry singer Rihanna in the hospital ignited when singer Chris Brown got a text message from another young woman. Rihanna saw it and she got upset. They started to argue. She got out of the car. He wanted her to get back in, so he grabbed her, She pulled away. That's when she's told people he hit her.

Kim Kardashian is also someone who was effected by social media. Back in 2007 there was a sextape released of her and ray j. Since then Kim has had to carry that image with her because no one will let her forget it, especially ray j. Recently Ray J went on a twitter rant exposing kim and saying that they had another tape that hasn't been released. Kim is trying to put herself together and move past it but that is easier said than done.

Another person who has had their life affected by social media is Tiger Woods.
Tiger Woods' bizarre overnight car crash outside his Florida home came only days after tabloids published articles claiming the golf champ was having an affair. Woods, 33, had just backed out of his driveway at 2:25 a.m. Friday, when he drove off and plowed into a fire hydrant and a neighbor's tree in a gated community near Orlando. He has not won anywhere in the world since the Australian Masters last November.

Everyone has something to say about Amber Cole's story. Why? Because it raises just about every teen issue in the book: Underage sexual activity, breaking school rules, lying and bullying. In case you haven't heard the controversial story; Amber Cole is a 14-year-old girl who was filmed while performing oral sex on her boyfriend in her school grounds. As soon as the video was released, it went viral and Cole became a prime target of cyber bullying.

The suicide of Amanda Todd occurred on October 10, 2012 at her home in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada. Prior to her death, Todd posted a video on YouTube in which she used a series of flash cards to tell of her experience of being blackmailed, bullied, and physically assaulted. The video went viral after her death, resulting in international media attention. In response to the death, Christ Clark, the Premier of British Columbia, made an online statement of condolence suggesting a national discussion on criminalizing cyber-bullying.

Fashion 11/29/12

These Nike Air Penny 5 shoes are hot to me because of the color way.  The all-black upper complemented with a gradient midsole made this a popular colorway among Penny fans. Shoes are a very essential part of fashion.

These PRPS jeans are the definition of fashion. Prps is a New York-based luxury fresh denim brand which was established in 2002, and was founded by former Nike designer, Donwan Harrell. The brand motto is "Bruised, never broken". Prps jeans are manufactured in Japan. The denim used for the manufacture of the jeans, is organically grown in Africa. The Japanese manufacturer of the jeans uses looms from the 1960s similar to the type that were used to produce denim for Levi's.

Belts are also an important part of fashion. If your pants have belt loops then you should have on a belt. This Fendi belt in particular is one of my favorites.

Lacoste shirts are growing in the fashion world. They have nice designs and really stylish and classy. As you can see from the picture above their are many different flavors to choose from.

Beanies are really a winter fashion but i feel with the right outfit you can wear a beanie anytime. this Patriot beanie is hot and one of my favs.

LeBron James is atop the NBA's jersey-sales list once again.

The Miami Heat star has the league's hottest-selling jersey, marking the third time the NBA's reigning MVP and Finals MVP has held that distinction. James was No. 4 in the most recent rankings, released in April. Since then, all he's done is win his third MVP award, a second Olympic gold medal and help the Heat win the NBA championship. The NBA said it had record-breaking sales over Thanksgiving weekend, saying sales on the so-called Cyber Monday were up more than 10 percent over last year. Cyber Monday last year fell two days after the league and its players announced a tentative end to the NBA lockout.

Fashion from the olden era always has a certain kind of charm about itself. Although the fashion scene is constantly changing from day to day, there are certain elements of fashion from earlier eras that have a unique appeal. These elements have been revamped and re-used as trends of the modern age! Fashion in the 1800s was such that could inspire many creative minds! Here, we shall take a look at some of the various styles of clothing in the 1800s. This trip into history would surely give you a glimpse of the kind of clothing was worn back then.

 

In the early 1900s, fashion enjoyed its last true age of elegance. There is no doubt that the pinnacle of fashion belonged to the wealthy dames of the early 1900s aristocracies. It was an era of grace , dedicated to time-honored values and traditions.Woman at the time were above all slender in their fashion. The silhouette of the early 1900s dame was curved, flowing and extremely feminine. Maturity, sophistication and superiority were well known traits for these extremely well-bred ladies.

 

Men's clothing in the early 2000's fashion included more sporty clothing like Adidas or Nike shorts, loafers, camp shirts and baseball camps etc were verypopular. The mid 2000’s fashion on the other hand was influenced by retroculture. People liked to wear cartoon print hoodies, vintage T-shirts and slimfit jeans. The late 2000's witnessed clothing in contrasting colors. Blackleather jackets with white T-shirts and straight leg jeans were liked by thepeople. V- Neck sweaters were also very popular.

Thanksgiving and the things im thankful for

Though the thanksgiving break wasn't anywhere near long enough, thanksgiving as a holiday was still great. The time of year when all the family comes together and everyone is thankful for something in their life. The family gatherings, the dinner, and the moments shared will always be cherished. The laughs, the smiles, and all the love is enough to be thankful for.

Air Jordan olive 9 campouts

Due to the early release of the air jordan olive 9 shoe in New York, their has been campouts all over the city. The jordan brand shoe isn't scheduled to drop until November 17th. There has been some lines spotted that are up to a mile long, i guess people are really serious about their shoes. We're hoping that the shoe doesn't cause any violence or controversy. New England Patriots rout Indianapolis Colts!

The New England Patriots completely destroyed Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts, picking off the rookie quarterback three times and returning two for touchdowns in a 59-24 beatdown.The Colts actually jumped out to an early lead after one quarter, but 60 points later, the Pats left the result in little doubt. The Patriots defense played spectacular, forcing three interceptions and running two back for touchdowns. On offense, Tom Brady played extremely well as usual, throwing for 331 yards with three touchdowns and no picks.

The Meek Mill report

 

Todays report will be on hip-hop recording artist Meek Mill. Robert Williams better known by his stage name Meek Mill was born May 6, 1987, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Meek Mill attended Strawberry Mansion high school but that was cut short as he dropped out in the 10th grade. At the young age of 4, Meek faced a tragic lost as his father was taken from him due to street violence.

 His mother played both the mother and father role during his years of childhood. Meek Mill got his shot at fame in 2008 when he signed to T.I's Grand hustle label; however that didn’t last long due to legal troubles. In 2011, Miami rapper Rick Ross took a look at Meek and was impressed. Meek signed to the MMG label and from then on has been a wrecking crew in the rap industry. Meek has won the Rookie of the year award, Freshmen of the year award, had over 2 million downloads on his "Dream Chasers 2" mix tape, and is currently number 2 on the billboards with his debut album "Dreams and Nightmares".

 In my opinion Meek Mill has had a tremendous impact on the Rap industry and is becoming an even bigger problem. Meek Mill released his debut album last week and over the past seven days he has managed to sell 167,000 copies. Through his short 25 years on this earth Meek has faced many stumbles and obstacles but in the long run it has turned out to be motivation for him as he soars to the top.

The blog about nothing

By the title you probably thought that this blog was going to be about nothing, well its not! This blog is actually about the total opposite, everything. Lets talk about music, music an organized sound that makes the world go round. Everybody in the world listens to music, maybe not the same genre but some type of music. Most of my generation tends to like Hip-Hop, you know the music with the rhyming, rapping, and beat snapping. Now lets move in a different direction and talk shoes. I love shoes and not afraid to say im probably addicted to them, shoes are an essential part of me. Everyone should cherish shoes, both males and females. Lets shift our focus to the IPhone 5, the IPhone 5 is a spectacular phone. The only thing i dont like about the phone is the price, that thing is ridiculous. All the new gadgets you get with it are excellent and everything but the price is just too unattractive. Enough about that lets talk about food. Everybody loves food, my favorite dish is shrimp, whats yours?(leave answer in comments).

Presidential Election

This years Presidential election was very close and intense. I feel that President Obama had more of a movement than Governor Romney and thats what gave our President the upper hand. Governor Romney seemed to have a strong attack in the debates but that just wasn't enough. President Obama stated facts, touched the people, and is trying to make a change in the economy that was screwed up way before he got in office. The Presidential run was a exciting one, it was close until the very end but all the ground work by Obama seemed to have more of a push as he was elected once again and will be serving his second term as President of the United States of America.

Do you have your own fashion sense or style? If you don't, thats what this blog is for. First things first, every outfit starts with the shoes. Find that nice pair of shoes you want to sport and feel confident in.
